Gnomic exploration require an experienced core yard field assistant to assist our clients diamond drilling program in NW QLD by perfoming the following duties;

  • Maintaining drill core records as received from the Underground Departments.
  • Core Mark Up – one (1) metre intervals, cut lines, core loss and orientated core.
  • Core tray mark up with drillhole details and metal tags .
  • Logging of Rock Quality Designation (RQD) into Acquire database.
  • Specific Gravity (SG) and point load testing.
  • Diamond drill core photography
  • Cutting of diamond drill core for sampling– Manual and automatic (Almonte) core saw.
  • Sample dispatch.
  • Database management

Core processing experience is esstential to be considered for this postion. Accommodation and meals provided at mine camp with excellent facilities. 

FIFO Cairns preferred but Brisbane & Townsville may be considered for the right candidate.
