Gnomic are seeking a suitably experienced mine geologist to assist our client at their mine site with the following duties; 

  •          Provide accurate geological information to Mining Engineers and Operations to support mine planning and scheduling.
  •          Undertake face and back mapping of development on a regular basis.
  •          Monitor and sample stope production to ensure correct estimates of grade.
  •          Oversee underground diamond drillers to ensure the integrity of the drilling program.
  •          Log and inspect rock cores, cuttings and samples.
  •          Plan and manage sludge sampling of production drilling as required.
  •          Interpret geological and assay boundaries in digital and hard copy plans and sections through the mine area.
  •          Assist with block modelling and grade estimations.
  •          Maintain and update the geological and assay drilling database in a timely manner.
  •          Identify and communicate risks associated with health, safety and environmental impacts, and support the planning and coordination of resources within area of responsibility. 

All travel and accommodation will be provided for the duration of this campaign. Travel is within rostered time.
